The first day of summer, known to southern preps as National Wear Your Lilly Day, marks the beginning of the season of shorts, swimming, and sun tans. Living in the hot and humid Florida, my summer will be filled with trips to the beach to lie in the sand and surf the waves. The first day of summer is always my favorite as is falls two days after my birthday and although the weather makes it feel like summer began with the start of May, June 21st is the official beginning of the sunny days to come. Having just turned 16 and having passed my driving test, I plan to exercise my new found freedom by driving all around town this summer and spending my days shopping at the mall and getting fro-yo.
But more importantly I plan on blogging frequently the entire summer. I want to use this blog as an outlet for all my thoughts and opinions that I feel like sharing with the world. The posts will get better once I find something to write about, I promise. I just wanted to say welcome to my blog and I look forward to talking to you.
